Appointment Wait Time Standards
Appointment wait times for primary care and behavioral health services must meet or exceed the minimum standards as follows:

Urgently Needed Services:
- 48 hours if no prior authorization required
- 96 hours if prior authorization required

Non-Emergency Services: Within 7 business days
- 10 business days for Primary Care Physicians
- 15 business days for Specialty Care Physicians

Routine And Preventive Care: Within 30 business days
- 10 business days from prior appointment
A qualified health care provider may extend the waiting time for an appointment if they determine a longer waiting time will not be harmful to the member's health.
